  • 1 lb crab legs
  • 1 pound large shrimp
  • 1 lb mussels 
  • 1 lb sausage (any kind will do)
  • 3-4 ears of corn
  • 1 lb red potatoes
  • 1/4 cup seafood boil seasoning or crab boil seasoning 
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • Juice of 1 lime 
  • 1 extra lime for serving
  • 4 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • Parsley, for garnish

How to make a seafood boil bag

Before you begin, clean all the seafood properly. This includes shrimp, crab legs, and mussels. Scrub them under running water to get rid of any gunk. 

Also, husk the corn, then cut the corn into thirds and wash the potatoes until the water runs clean.

Next, precook the potatoes for 25 minutes and the corn for 10 minutes. 

Then chop the sausages into thirds or halves.

Also preheat the oven to 350 degrees and gather all the ingredients needed in one place.

Right before you start filling up the bag, melt the butter.

Next, grab an oven bag and a large deep pot or bowl and place the bag into the pot. This will make it super easy to fill the oven bag with seafood and vegetables. 

Place the crab legs, corn, and potatoes in the bag first.

Then add the mussels, sausages, and shrimp.

Lastly pour the seafood boil seasoning, minced garlic, lime juice, and melted butter into the bag.

Mix well until all the ingredients are coated with butter and seasoning, then tie the bag closed. Place the bag of seafood boil into a baking dish or on a lined baking tray and cook in the oven for 35 minutes.

At 35 minutes, remove the seafood from the oven. Pour into a baking dish and serve with a delicious seafood sauce.
